Cocina Latina Pupusa Buffet: A Flavorful Salvadoran Experience in Houston

The restaurant has changed, now it's called Hunan King. They now served Chinese food. I went there to try the new food, to my surprise the food was delicious. My favorite food is orange chicken, so that's what i ordered, the orange chicken was so delicious that it became my number 1 favorite orange chicken. The lady who served us was a really nice person, she welcomed us in. If you love Chinese food go to the new Hunan King. You won't regret it. I spend $9.25 on my lunch and ordered 2. In my lunch i got orange chicken, delicious fried rice, soup, and a egg roll

If you ever crave delicious pupusas... definitely this is the place to go! They make this fantastic chicken soup and of course the pupusas like no other place! Price super accessible, and fresh made pupusas ALL DAY LONG!!!! LOVE THIS PLACE

A bit scary looking inside, ordered a variety of pupusa's to go, and Cocina Latina on Bellaire was a bit better than other "top" spots I've ate at. The family agreed. They were hot as hades, nice freshly cooked. None of us cared for their style of coleslaw, usually there's spice to it; but this was just plain pickely (more like sauerkraut); but both their sauces were great. In fact, I liked their mild red sauce better than most. I probably should have just dumped a bunch of that on the 'slaw. :)

This little hole-in-the-wall buffet is $8.50 with pupusas and your drink. They have five or six different kinds of pupusas and some soup, coleslaw stuff, and salsas. The pupusas were good, hot and fresh. They only put a handful out on the buffet so they don't get cold or dried out. The horchata was pretty good too.

Great price for delicious food. I paid $17 for 2 people.The caldo de pollo on the line was really good. The pupusas were fresh and all you can eat. The agua frescas were good too. One of those hole in the wall type of places that turn out to be hidden gems.

Pupusa BUFFET what else do you need to know? They are basicaly self service and have an assortment of pupussas to choose from along with soup, sauces, salsa, pickled veggies, slaw, peppers and juice. Not costly at all, very reasonable and everything we tasted here was incredibly delicious.

Have very tasty pupusas and chicken soup is always available. Good place to eat with your family. You can get as many pupusas and soup as you want since it's a buffet.

Linda fondita, as we Mexican say. We have come here for a while and their pupusas are really good. They have a nice variety of aguas frescas and they always offer caldo de pollo (chicken soup). The ladies are always polite. I have to give them credit for listening to me once the TV had bad programming not appropiate for kids (I was with my 3 kids that time) and asked them if they could switch channels. They did. I would love if they could keep up with the demand of the customers eating there, because sometimes the buffet runs out of pupusas fast and we have to wait a while for more. But everything else is good!
